Curve text into an arc or warp it

Two ways to curve text: Envelope Distort › Make with Warp bends the whole word into an arc or wave; the Type on a Path tool runs text along any line or circle.

How to curve or warp text

  1. Click Curve text and type your word with the Type tool.
  2. Select it and choose Object › Envelope Distort › Make with Warp…, pick Arc (or Wave, Flag…) and set the Bend.
  3. For text around a circle, draw a circle, choose the Type on a Path tool and click the circle's edge, then type.
  4. Export with File › Export › Export As SVG… or Export As PNG….
