How to add text to a photo
- Click Add text to a photo and open your image. The Type tool is selected.
- Click on the photo and type. Set the font, size and colour in the options bar or the Character panel.
- To make the text stand out, open Layer › Layer Style › Blending Options and add a Stroke (outline) or Drop Shadow.
- Move the text with the Move tool (V), then export with File › Export As.
Tips
- Click and drag with the Type tool to make a paragraph box that wraps text.
- Save as PSD to keep the text editable for later.
Questions
Can I curve text?
Yes. Draw a path with the Pen or Ellipse tool, then click on the path with the Type tool to type along it.
