How to make a seamless pattern

  1. Click Start a pattern and draw the motifs for one tile.
  2. Select them and choose Object › Pattern › Make. The repeat appears around your tile as you edit.
  3. Adjust the tile type and spacing in the pattern options, then click Done; the pattern is saved as a swatch.
  4. Fill a large rectangle with the swatch and export it as SVG or PNG.
