How to pixelate or blur a face

  1. Click Pixelate part of an image and open the picture. The Rectangular Marquee is selected.
  2. Drag a box over the face, plate or text (hold Shift to add more boxes).
  3. Choose Filter › Pixelate › Mosaic and set a cell size large enough that it can't be read, or use Filter › Blur › Gaussian Blur.
  4. Export as a new file so your original stays untouched.

Good to know

Light blur can sometimes be reversed. For sensitive text, paint over it with a solid colour (Edit › Fill) instead.
