How to make a lower third

  1. Click Make a lower third and create a 1920×1080 composition with a transparent background.
  2. Draw a bar with the Rectangle tool and add name and title text layers.
  3. Keyframe the bar's scale from 0% to 100% width, then fade the text in a few frames later.
  4. Render as ProRes 4444 with alpha, or a PNG sequence, and drop it into Kiln Video.
