How to speed up a video
- Click Change video speed, import your clip with File › Import (Ctrl/Cmd+I) and drag it onto the timeline.
- Right-click the clip and choose Speed/Duration….
- Enter a Speed (200% is twice as fast, 50% is half speed) or a target Duration. Tick Ripple Edit, Shifting Trailing Clips to close the gap.
- Press Ctrl/Cmd+M (File › Export › Export), choose H.264 in an MP4, and click Export.
Tips
- For smooth slow motion, shoot at a high frame rate (60 or 120 fps) and slow it to 50% or 25% in a 30 fps sequence.
