How to restore an old photo

  1. Click Restore a photo and open your scan. The Spot Healing Brush is selected.
  2. Paint over creases, tears and spots; use the Clone Stamp where a pattern needs copying exactly.
  3. Run Filter › Noise › Dust & Scratches on a selection of the background to remove fine specks.
  4. Fix fading with Levels and colour shifts with Curves, then export.
